DIY Crochet Dreamcatcher

Ever since I was a little girl, I always had a vision of how I wanted things to be. I was picky and stubborn and could never find exactly what I wanted, so my mom taught me at a very young age to DIY. I am so thankful for that. My room needed a little something, and to go with my neutral color theme, I came up with this dream catcher.

These are the things you’ll need, I found all my supplies from crafting and fabric stores! Also, you can definitely stray from the following, be creative and make it you!

1. Start with tying the doily with the thread to your branch wreath.
2. After that, tie your string/lace/trim/fabric to the bottom of your dream catcher, I found these feathers and just tied them onto my string.
3. Last make a loop at the top of your dream catcher to hang where ever you would like!

4. And vuala, just like that you have your one of a kind dream catcher! You can hang it anywhere from above your bed to on your mirror in your car!

Post a comment with a picture of a dream catcher you made! Until next time, xo

Simple Pumpkin Cookies!

So like I said Tuesday, Pumpkin anything is my absolute FAVORITE! So today I give you a 2 ingredient cookie recipe that makes a perfect Autumn night desert.

The ingredients
1 cup of pumpkin
1 cup of rolled oats
1 tsp of cinnamon
1 spoonful of honey/agave
½ tsp of cumin
½  ginger

Optional:
Rasins
Chocolate chips (I'm trying some in mine this weekend)!

Pre heat the Oven to 325
Mix all the ingredients into a mixing bowl
Make sure to place on a greased cookie sheet (the cookies will not expand so put them as close as you would like together)
Keep in the oven for 10-15 minutes

Also, after you have a couple of these hot out of the oven, place in the fridge, they are equally delicious cold! Enjoy

FALLING FOR FALL

Current status, HAPPY! Why? Well, Sunday marked the first day of my favorite season of ALL time, FALL! Pumpkin flavored everything, multiple layers of clothing, Honey Crisp apple season, halloween parties and cooler weather are just a few of my favorite reasons why I seem to fall in love with fall every year.

Wearing: Fringe cardigan, Forever 21. Tank Top, Forever 21. Jeggings, Forever21. Boots, Target.

Although it is technically fall, San Diego doesn't like to cool off right away, but that isn't stopping me to layer up! So today I choose my fringe sweater cardigan, sounds hot but as you can see mine is tank top version, so I'm not sweating the minute I put it on! I just love the color, it's a deep fall color and of course reminds me of my favorite part about fall, pumpkin!! I can't wait to share with you all my favorite fall fashion and especially fall recipes, check back this week for a yummy but also healthy pumpkin cookie recipe I made to celebrate the start of fall!

Do something fallish today, tomorrow and all of October, I know I will!! Xo

Aloe, My New Secret Weapon!

I want to share with all of you my new favorite beauty secret: Aloe Vera. Growing up in Arizona I always knew what Aloe Vera was, the plant in my backyard we used when we got a bad sun burn. Well recently, due to new found food allergies, a friend told me to try drinking Aloe Vera, that it helps clear skin, and also helps flush out those bad toxins that you’re allergic to! So, I gave the Aloe Vera a try and am I glad I did. I encourage all of you, next time you’re at the grocery store, pick up Aloe Vera water! But, not going to lie, the smell and texture kind of freaks me out… so I use it in my morning smoothies instead of my coconut milk!

MY FAVORITE SMOOTHIE IS MY TROPICAL SMOOTHIE
¼ cup of frozen pineapple
¼ cup of frozen strawberries
½ of a frozen banana
1/3 cup of frozen mango
2 handfuls of spinach
1 TBSP of honey
a dash of cinnamon
And of course
¾ a cup of Aloe Vera water

So, if you’re struggling with some food allergies like me, or maybe just a little skin problem, give the Aloe Vera a try! There’s so many healt  benefits like lots of vitamins and minerals, so why not y, you can only gain from it!

Let me know what you think, or if you have any other ideas to use Aloe Vera in!

Beau-tea-ful day

Hello all! Well, I guess today is not only a beau(tea)ful day for a nice cup of tea, but it’s also a beautiful day to start my blog!
Jeans: Brandy Melville. Top: Free People. Bandeau: Free People. Hat: Brandy Melville.

My name is Gabi, a 20 year old college student with no idea where I’ll be after I graduate. Yes—I said it NO idea, which I noticed had really started stressing me out lately! But today, I finally woke up and realized that, it’s OK! The future can wait, because I need to start living for the present and explore everything that makes me happy right now! I’m not saying I’m not going to set goals, because come on that’s what makes life worth living, I am just saying I am not going to stress about where I am going to be in a couple years and let faith take its course. So today, I begin my journey with my blog, TRIMMED WITH LACE—a blog to share with you all my love for fashion, health, inspiration, DIY and what ever else I find that makes me happy.

Can’t wait to share with you all, stay tuned to see what’s next!
